I so enjoy these images of the sun. It is so fascinating how many ancient cultures were lured by the sun energy. Did they feel as though it gave them energy? Did they know how much their lives depended on the sun?I have to look up cultures that did not have as much sun...see how often they utilized images of the sun as a God or Deity of some kind.
Most people know that the Ancient Babylonians, Mycenaes, and Egyptians had a special relationship with the sun. I have seen many images of the each of these cultures worshiping the sun in some way.
