Covering with the Sun

This is my blanket. I have had this thing since the early 1990's. I still remember the first time I saw it in "linen and things". I had to have it. I did not have very much disposable income at the time. I was in school, and every penny counted. I think this was an expensive blanket that was really more of a luxury, and not something that I "NEEDED". I admired it for a little while, and finally saved just enough for it. I am glad I kept it. I think one time it was in the "give away" pile, but this is one of my favorite symbols. An old fashioned celestial sun.

Italian Water

I love the image on the water bottle of Sole. I have not had this brand of water, but I have tasted many different types of water. I have never even seen this on in any grocery store in the United States. Apparently you can order a case at a time, and they are in glass bottles instead of plastic. I do prefer to have my water out of glass or stainless steel.

Holy Sun

Here is another sun that is from an engraving. There must be reference to religion with the cross in the center. I am pretty sure that this is about the time that Martin Luther is challenging the Catholic Church. These references look more Northern European than Southern.

This has got to be one of my favorites. Although the face of this sun looks a little constipated or frustrated. I can't put my finger on the feeling or mood that he creates, but it is close to the one that is my favorite representation.
